Excellence in support begins with clear standards
At EmpowerAbility, we believe exceptional support is built on clear values, consistent practice, and a genuine commitment to helping people live fulfilling lives.
Our Standards Framework sets out what good support looks like across every part of our organisation. It guides the way we design homes, deliver support, develop staff, improve quality, and make decisions.
Together, these standards help ensure that dignity, independence, safety, inclusion, and person-centred support remain at the heart of everything we do.
Why our standards matter
Standards provide consistency, accountability, and a shared understanding of what excellent support looks like.
However, they are about much more than compliance.
Every policy, procedure, training programme, and quality system should have one purpose:
To improve the lives of the people we support.
If something does not improve care, safety, dignity, independence, or quality of life, it should be questioned and improved.
Our approach
EmpowerAbility combines compassion with professionalism.
We aim to provide support that is:
- person-centred
- compassionate
- evidence-informed
- well governed
- practical
- inclusive
- focused on meaningful outcomes
- committed to continuous improvement
Quality should never be measured by paperwork alone. It should be reflected in people’s everyday experiences.
The EmpowerAbility Standards Framework
Our framework is built around ten interconnected standards.
Each standard focuses on an essential aspect of excellent support. Together, they provide a practical framework for delivering high-quality supported housing services.
